Your child may be eligible to enroll in the State Preschool program
if he/she turns 3 before or on December 1 or when he/she turns 3 years of age. 

Part Day State Preschool

• Free preschool program (must meet eligibility requirements)
• Program runs from August 21, 2023-June 7, 2024 and follows the school district calendar
• Three hour program with am and pm sessions available
• Free breakfast or lunch served daily
• Offered at College Park, Killybrooke, Paularino, Pomona, Rea, Sonora, Whittier and Wilson Elementary Schools.

Full Day State Preschool

• Free preschool program (must meet eligibility requirements)
• Program runs from July 3, 2023-June 28, 2024 
• Full day program 8:00 am - 2:45 pm
• Free breakfast and lunch served daily
• Offered at Pomona and Whittier Elementary Schools

• Preschool program for children 3-4 years of age 
  (must be potty trained)
• Program runs from August 21, 2023- June 7, 2024 and follows the school district calendar
• Full day programs with 5, 3, and 2 days/week schedules
• Low teacher to child ratios (1:8)
• Daily schedule includes morning circle, whole group and small group instruction, indoor and outdoor free exploration, music and movement, technology, nap, and meal times. Sample daily schedule
• Developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with CA Preschool Learning Foundations. 
• Parent provides snacks and lunch (option to choose school lunch)
• Participate in elementary school activities such as library and flag deck
• On site speech services for students with an IEP
• Offered at four locations: Davis Magnet, Harbor View, Newport Coast, and Newport Elementary Schools

Tuition Rates for 2023-2024

Monday - Friday (5 days/week) - $1000/mo* or $10,000/yr

Mon/Wed/Fri (3 days/week) - $850/mo* or $8,500/yr

Tu/Th (2 days/week) - $625/mo* or $6,250/yr

Extended Day (until 4:00 pm) - $200/mo
(Dependent upon interest)

$100 Non-refundable Annual Registration Fee

Payment due the 1st of each month

*Tuition rates are based on a 180 day/10-month calendar. Families may choose to pay the entire amount or in ten equal monthly installments.
